The XFL is back! The upstart league kicks off this weekend with four games, pitting all eight franchises in action.
Led by commissioner Oliver Luck, the rosters are filled with former NFL players, practice squad members, and ex-college standouts trying to keep the professional football dream alive.

There are new rules designed to create more action and less kicking.
Among the rules innovations:
- No extra point kicks. Teams can go for 1, 2 or 3 points with offensive plays instead.
- One foot down is a catch, not two.
- 25-second play clock instead of 40.
- Kickoffs are moved back to the 25, with touchbacks going to the 35.
- Overtime is a sort of penalty-kick shootout, only with offenses.
