In Chapter 7 of Xenoblade Chronicles 3, you’ll be tasked with doing a lap of the world to gather Origin Metal. Once you’ve done this, the Nopon engineer, Samon, will offer up a new side quest. He reveals that the many odd shards you’ve likely stumbled upon during your adventure are actually Origin Shards, which can be used for a special purpose.
However, before he can get to work, you need to complete the quest “Unite the Seven Nopon”, as they all wield the Ultimate Hammer, but are scattered across Aionios.
