Hi-Fi Rush is a new action rhythm game from horror game maker Tango Gameworks, and you can play it on Xbox now. The Evil Within maker announced Hi-Fi Rush during the Xbox Developer_Showcase with a lengthy trailer, and it’s available on Xbox Series X|S and PC via Windows, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. Hi-Fi Rush is also launching on Game Pass for Xbox and PC.
In Hi-Fi Rush, you play as Chai, a robot cast aside as a defective model who joins a group of other punk rebels to take down the corporation that left them for scrap. At your disposal is a range of weapons that power up when you attack in time with the rhythm. You’ll also want to time your movements to the beat in Hi-Fi Rush’s platforming challenges as you infiltrate corporate headquarters and get ready to face off against massive bosses.
Hi-Fi Rush features a few accessibility options, including a beat meter to help you time your movements and a cat who acts as a metronome, for those who might need a bit of help stepping in time.
While Tango tried keeping their new project a surprise, it actually leaked just hours before the Developer_Direct showcase. Still, seeing as the trademark was filed in 2020, it’s almost a miracle the studio kept it secret for that long.
