Before the cancelation, the pokes had three non-conference games on the schedule after the September 19 game against former rival Utah had to be scrapped after the Pac-12 moved to a conference-only schedule for the 2020, coronavirus affected, season.
With the Weber State game now off the table, Wyoming has a schedule that meets the guidelines, set in place by the Mountain West Conference, for the 2020 football season, which is eight league games and two non-league games. The conference announced on August 5 that schedules for the upcoming season would consist of 8 conference games, as well as two from non-conference opponents.

Wyoming is still scheduled to play non-conference teams the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and Ball State on September 12 and 26 respectively. The game against the University of Louisiana Lafayette will likely be rescheduled as the start to the season was pushed back to September 26, to allow more thorough COVID-19 precautions to be made prior to the start of the season.

The Wyoming season is currently as follows:
SEPT. 5 vs. WEBER STATE (CANCELED)
SEPT. 12 at UNIVERSITY OF LOUISIANA AT LAFAYETTE
SEPT. 19 vs. UNIVERSITY OF UTAH (CANCELED)
SEPT. 26 at BALL STATE UNIVERSITY
OCT. 10 at UNLV
OCT. 17 vs. SAN DIEGO STATE UNIVERSITY
OCT. 24 vs. AIR FORCE
OCT. 31 at COLORADO STATE UNIVERSITY
NOV. 7 vs. UTAH STATE UNIVERSITY
NOV. 14 at UNIVERSITY OF NEVADA
NOV. 21 vs. BOISE STATE UNIVERSITY
NOV. 28 at UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO
This schedule is not set in stone and is subject to change in the next few weeks as teams approach the season. The September 12 game Louisiana has to be moved to after September 26, the official start of the season, that the Mountain West introduced.
Allowing for needed rescheduling, the Cowboys have the needed amount of conference and non-conference teams to play a 2020 football season. The team, and league, will know more about how schedules are finalized in the coming weeks, but Wyoming currently has their conference games and two non-conference teams scheduled to play.
