Offense
1. Colin O’Brien (Tight End)
O’Brien was the #6th ranked junior college tight end recruit in the country and ultimately ended up choosing Wyoming over Boise State in a race for the TE. At 6’5, O’Brien possesses incredible size and unteachable physical attributes. He is a perfect fit for Wyoming’s pro-style offense, which never lacks the utilization of Tight Ends.
His lack of production at Saddleback College is due to a lack of targets and dimmers his appeal to a casual fan. His upside is through the ceiling, which is why he received interest from Boise State, Arizona State, Colorado State, and UNLV.
He has the chance to make some noise and has tremendous upside. O’Brien has the chance to take over the Cowboys primary Tight End spot, and improve all facets of the offense.
2. Joshua Cobbs (Wide Receiver)
My bold prediction, Cobbs is Wyoming’s desperately needed savior at WR. He is my favorite for a breakout player for the cowboys. This year provides an opportunity for young WR’s to step up, and Cobbs is going to be that guy.
At 6’4 Cobbs has incredible size and an NFL body. Cobbs was selected to play in the San Antonio Sports All-Star Football Game his senior season and was first-team all-district in 5A-1 Texas Football.
It doesn’t take long watching Cobbs, to see his elite stature and deep threat ability. He averaged 24.5 yards per reception as senior at Wagner High. He is the prototype for a WR1 that the Cowboys have desperately been missing.
The most appealing factor to his game for Wyoming is his incredible pass blocking ability. He drives DB’s downfield with no issue. Cobbs could be the go-to guy for the years to come and he will find his way on the field this season.

3. Alex Brown (Wide Reciever)
Another 6’4 WR from Texas, Brown maintained his redshirt after appearing in two games in 2019 and though he did not record any statistics the redshirt freshman could look to break out this year.
A three-star recruit out of high school, Brown was 6A school Klein Collins Star. Much like Cobbs, Brown is a deep threat, with elite size. I love the direction the pokes are going in, looking for big targets that can fit Bohl’s system perfectly.
A year on campus to develop both physically and mentally should benefit Brown greatly, and now it will just be about producing when given the opportunity.
