Wyatt Teller still limited in practice but ‘pray that I can be back’ in Week 10

Teller has been limited in practice both Wednesday and Thursday

The Cleveland Browns are anxious to get the run game back to full strength. Running back Nick Chubb has been designated for return from injured reserve, but he’s not the only missing piece.

Right guard Wyatt Teller has not played since Week 4 and he’s been missed too. Teller and his injured calf are progressing towards a return to the lineup. He’s been a limited participant in practices both Wednesday and Thursday in advance of Sunday’s matchup with the Houston Texans in Week 10.

His status for the game will not be determined before Friday’s practice. Teller is raring to play but understands it’s not his decision.

“I don’t want to give 100% [commitment] either way. It’s a process, right?” Teller said via Zoom this week. “But I pray that I can get back (playing Sunday).”

Teller suffered a Grade 2 calf strain in the Browns’ Week 4 win over the Indianapolis Colts. The way Teller described it sounds worse than it really is. As the right guard said, “the ligament came off the bone a little bit, but not fully.”
