WWE star Becky Lynch made a big announcement on Monday night’s episode of Raw – she and her fiancé Seth Rollins are expecting their first child together.
Lynch relinquished her belt to Asuka, who was the winner in Sunday night’s Money in the Bank.
Lynch told People magazine: “I’ve always, always wanted kids. I’m just so career-focused that it became one of those things that, when you’re chasing a dream for so long, I always wondered, ‘Am I going to get around to it? Is it going to happen for me?'”
Here’s the moment when she surprised Asuka with the news and the two got emotional:
"You go and be a warrior, 'cause I'm gonna go be a mother."
Congratulations, @BeckyLynchWWE!!!!

Becky Lynch is legit one of the nicest human beings I've ever met – period. Not just in wrestling.
Her tears of joy hit different. Just genuinely delighted for her. #RAW

The significance of @BeckyLynchWWE announcing she’s pregnant whilst being at the top of not just WWE but sports media for women is huge. As I get older I struggle with the idea that I’ve had to sacrifice my chances to be a mother for my career. Becky is proving you don’t have to.
