WWE reportedly doing more movie parody ads for WrestleMania

WWE also did movie parody spots the last time WrestleMania was held in Los Angeles.

WWE might be putting the Hollywood back in WrestleMania Goes Hollywood.

The last time the Showcase of the Immortals was held in Los Angeles (way back at WrestleMania 21), the company did a series of ads for the event that were spoofs of popular movies, including “A Few Good Men,” “Braveheart” and “Pulp Fiction.” As you can see below, they were a lot of fun, and were perfect for the locale that year.

So why not run that idea back with current talent and different movies? That’s exactly what WWE is rumored to be doing, with WrestleVotes tweeting out the supposed list of movies as well as who’s in which parody.

“Top Gun” would be the real ace here, especially if it’s “Top Gun: Maverick,” one of the biggest movies of all time. “Goodfellas” also seems like a winner with the Bloodline playing a mob family.

The parody spots are supposedly already filmed, so fans should be seeing them in the coming weeks if these reports are on the money. Here’s hoping they are, because they would only help make the run-up to WrestleMania 39 that much more entertaining.
