Once more, with feeling. That’s something our band director used to say and we think it applies to Seth Rollins vs. Finn Balor this week on WWE Raw.
You may recall that Rollins, who has been showing some increasingly face tendencies as of late, was trying to put out an open challenge for his United States Championship. Balor attempted to accept that challenge, but barely even got talking before The O.C. came out to pick their latest bone with The Judgment Day.
Rollins ended up slinking away, Bobby Lashley looked like he was going to accept the challenge but just beat up Rollins instead, and Austin Theory threw away his Money in the Bank contract by unsuccessfully trying to cash it in on Seth. It was a whole thing.
So maybe the two of them can just have a nice, straightforward wrestling match in Louisville. And maybe it’s even for the title, though WWE has sent conflicting messages about that. We’ll have to wait and see.
The other big deal for this episode of Raw is that The Miz is supposedly going to apologize for the whole Dexter Lumis saga. Please note that the word “supposedly” is doing a lot of work in that sentence, and that we trust The Miz about as far as we can throw him. Which is not at all. We’re wrestling writers, not wrestlers.
There’s bound to be plenty more since there are three hours of Raw to fill, but those are the high points. You know the drill by now: Definitely tune in and watch live on USA if you’re able.
