Toronto is most definitely ready for WWE Raw, and it helps that some of its favorite sons and daughters will be on the show.
Scotiabank Arena is ready to welcome back two hometown legends in one night in front of what’s reportedly a sellout crowd. We know what Edge will be up to, as he’s facing Damian Priest in what should be a very personal scrap. Priest claims he won’t have nay help from The Judgment Day, but can Edge really afford to believe that will be the case?
It’s less certain what Trish Stratus will be doing tonight, except that she’ll have something to say. Could one of the current women’s stars, say, Becky Lynch, try to mess with her? It certainly feels like a possibility.
And that’s not all. The Women’s Tag Team Championship tournament rolls on with the first of two (we’re told there are always two) semifinals. Alexa Bliss and Asuka are the fan favorites and arguably the tourney’s biggest stars. But they’re facing the hottest thing in the women’s division right now in Bayley’s running mates Dakota Kai and IYO SKY. Something will have to give.
(As a side note, WWE announced today that Toxic Attraction is out of the bracket due to injury, so it’s even more of a tossup as to who we’ll see in the final.)
One thing you can be absolutely sure of is that the Toronto crowd will be live. It should be fun even if you’re watching at home on USA, but if you can’t tune in tonight, bookmark this page because we’ll be updating it with the latest WWE Raw results as they happen from Scotiabank Arena.
