You want new matchups on WWE Raw with a new creative team in charge of the show? You’re getting another one in this week’s episode from Capital One Arena in Washington D.C.
While United States Champion Bobby Lashley and AJ Styles have shared the ring together nine times in WWE, they’ve surprisingly never had a singles match together. That changes in D.C. with Lashley getting what figures to be one of the stiffest tests he’s had since reclaiming that title.
The women’s tag team title tournament also continues on this week’s Raw, with two more teams competing in a first-round match. This time out, it’ll be Alexa Bliss and Asuka against arguably the only team that wasn’t put together right before the tourney, Nikki A.S.H. and Doudrop. Will the familiarity of the latter team be enough to make a difference?
We’ll also hear from someone who was very involved in top of the card-type feuds until the last few weeks, Riddle. After coming up short in his effort to avenge injured tag team partner Randy Orton by taking titles away from Roman Reigns, the Original Bro found himself smack dab in the crosshairs of Seth “Freakin'” Rollins. WWE is promising Riddle will speak about his future tonight, so we’ll see if it involves more than looking for payback against a list of candidates that only seems to be growing over time.
Add in some of the unpredictability of the last few weeks and there are plenty of compelling reasons to tune in to USA and watch live. That said, if you can’t catch Raw this week, bookmark this page and check back throughout Monday night to get the latest results and updates as they happen.
