WWE Raw preview 02/19/24: Cody Rhodes, Drew McIntyre collide

Anaheim will also see Jey Uso try to win the Intercontinental Championship from Gunther tonight on WWE Raw.

It’s a day off for many in the U.S. as it’s Presidents’ Day. But WWE can’t afford to take tonight off as it’s the last live show before Elimination Chamber heads Down Under to Perth (as this week’s SmackDown was taped last Friday). That means plenty of business to take care of in Anaheim.

Can Cody Rhodes finally get Drew McIntyre out of his business?

Cody Rhodes and many WWE fans got what they wanted when the American Nightmare officially obtained his rematch with Roman Reigns at WrestleMania. The problem now is getting there in one piece, which is something Drew McIntyre is more than happy to prevent.

The Scottish Warrior has been reveling in the misfortunes of other fan favorites trying to achieve their WrestleMania dreams, and one can only imagine how insufferable he’ll be if he manages to trip up Cody. Surely, Rhodes will get the win here, right? Right??

Will Jey Uso be the man to finally take down Gunther?

If you’re going to call yourself Main Event, you eventually need to back it up with some singles gold. Jey Uso hasn’t quite made that happen, but he’ll get a prime opportunity to change that tonight in Anaheim.

Unfortunately, doing so means going through Gunther, who’s shown few signs that his record Intercontinental Championship reign is winding down. The smart money says the Ring General retains, unless WWE really wants to convince us the Road to WrestleMania is wilder than it has ever been.

Who will be the last woman to grab a spot at Elimination Chamber?

Five spots are full for the Women’s Elimination Chamber match in Perth, and five women will battle it out to be the last competitor. Or at least there have only been five women WWE has promoted for the match so far: Shayna Baszler, Michin, Alba Fyre, Zelina Vega and Zoey Stark.

As fun as this synergism is, there have been rumors that a certain wrestler with a green-themed name might pop into this. It’s something to watch for on Raw, for sure.

Also advertised for Raw in Anaheim:

  • #DIY and The Awesome Truth (R-Truth and The Miz) join forces to battle The Judgment Day (meaning everyone in the group but Rhea Ripley)
  • Chad Gable takes on Ivar
