WWE Extreme Rules coming to Philadelphia on Oct. 8

WWE announced that Extreme Rules is returning to Philadelphia in October.

The home of extreme is playing host to WWE Extreme Rules this fall.

WWE announced today that the 2022 edition of Extreme Rules will take place on Saturday, Oct. 8 from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. Tickets for the event will go on sale on Friday, July 15.

This will be the second time Extreme Rules will be held in Philly, as the 2019 edition went down at the same venue. Since the 2020 event took place at the WWE Performance Center due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this will make two out of the last three non-pandemic Extreme Rules cards to be scheduled for the City of Brotherly Love — fitting, since it was the birthplace of ECW.

The announcement sets the WWE Premium Live Event lineup for the remainder of 2022, with the exception of a December or New Year’s weekend event. The schedule of upcoming premium cards now looks like this:

  • July 2 – Money in the Bank, MGM Grand Garden Arena, Las Vegas
  • July 30 – SummerSlam, Nissan Stadium, Nashville
  • Sept. 3 – Clash at the Castle, Principality Stadium, Cardiff, Wales
  • Oct. 8 – Extreme Rules, Wells Fargo Center, Philadelphia
  • Nov. 5 – Crown Jewel, venue TBA, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
  • Nov. 26 – Survivor Series, TD Garden, Boston
