Japanese wrestling promotion World Wonder Ring Stardom confirmed on Saturday that rising star Hana Kimura has died at the age of 22, and the wrestling community was stunned and saddened by the news. Kimura was also a cast member of “Terrace House: Tokyo,” a hit Netflix reality show.
In disturbing tweets that have since been deleted and translated, Kimura alluded to suffering from online bullying, and wrote that she did not “want to be a human anymore,” and “wanted to be loved.” Kimura also posted photos of what appeared to be self harm.
Wrestlers from around the world shared their memories and paid tribute to Kimura on social media.

Please be respectful and allow some time for things to process, and keep your thoughts and prayers with her family and friends.
We appreciate your support during this difficult time.

Just woke up to this awful news. There are no words to appropriately describe just how tragic the passing of Hana Kimura is.
She was an extremely talented performer and by all accounts, a great person and a kind soul.
My thoughts go out to her friends and family.

There are so many nights I would go to roppongi & I was joined by one of the most beautiful vibrant women I’ve ever met.
I would always smile around her & her laugh would just have effect on everyone.I can’t express how heartbroken I am for the Stardom Family.

I did not know Hana Kimura, as I am reading all the incredible things said about her, I can tell she left a great impact on this world. It’s incredibly tragic that a young woman had to be subjected to such horrific hate from people who didn’t even know her. 💔

I couldn’t imagine dealing with hate on social media at 22. I can barely handle it now. Some of you should be ashamed of yourselves. 💔#HanaKimura #RIPHanaKimura
