Night 1 of WrestleMania 39 had some emotional high points, including title victories for Rhea Ripley and the reunited brotherhood of Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens. But that’s only half the story.
The second half of this year’s WrestleMania from SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles will once again pack 75,000+ fans in to see if Cody Rhodes can finish his story on the biggest possible stage. Standing in his way is only the most formidable possible opponent: Roman Reigns, who has been Undisputed WWE Universal Champion for a year and will only be more ornery after watching The Usos lose their titles Saturday night.
Reigns’ titles won’t be the only ones on the line. Bianca Belair will put up her Raw Women’s Championship — which she’s also held for a year — against a foe who was her ally not long ago, Asuka. In contrast, Gunther isn’t going against friends, but his challengers, Drew McIntyre and Sheamus, were once friends with each other until their shared pursuit of Gunther’s Intercontinental Championship drove a wedge between them.
So there looks like there’s plenty that could provide the same kind of lasting memories as night 1. Be sure to check out our full predictions to see how we did on Saturday and what we think will go down Sunday, and just scroll down to see exactly what you’ll see on April 2.
