WR Tyreek Hill sets Dolphins single-season record for yards

It took him under 13 full games to do so.

The Miami Dolphins have had some talented pass-catchers in their storied history with names like Mark Clayton, Mark Duper, Irving Fryar, Brandon Marshall, Paul Warfield and others who have donned the aqua and orange at one point.

On Sunday, Tyreek Hill, in his first season with the team, accomplished something that none of the above ever did, as he eclipsed 1,390 receiving yards in a year. Clayton held the previous team record with 1,389 yards in the 1984 season.

Hill’s feat is even more impressive knowing that he’s reached the milestone in less than 13 full games. Entering the matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers, Hill had been on a pace that would put him just behind Calvin Johnson’s 2012 season (1,964 yards) for the most receiving yards in a single season in NFL history.
