The Arizona Cardinals have lost their third free agent of the offseason. The latest is receiver Pharoh Cooper. The Carolina Panthers announced Friday they signed receiver Pharoh Cooper to a one-year contract.
Cooper was a waiver claim by the Cardinals in late 2018 and played 12 games for the Cardinals in 2019. He initially did not make the team out of training camp but was re-signed after Christian Kirk injured his ankle.
He had a career-high 25 catches with the Cardinals for 243 yards and his first NFL receiving touchdown.
He also returned 17 punts and 25 kicks.
Head coach Kliff Kingsbury was a fan of his versatility and mentality.
He now leaves to the Panthers.
Cooper joins receiver Damiere Byrd and defensive lineman Rodney Gunter have also agreed to sign with other teams. Byrd got a one-year deal with the New England Patriots, while Gunter got three years with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
