The Al Horford experiment in Philadelphia is over as the 76ers have dealt the former Boston Celtic big man to the Oklahoma City Thunder for former Los Angeles Laker and Toronto Raptors guard Danny Green, according to ESPN senior analyst Adrian Wojnarowski.
The deal will also package draft assets headed from the Sixers to the Thunder, including unspecified first- and second-round picks.
Horford, who left the Celtics in free agency in the summer of 2019, has struggled to fit into the awkward fit of the 76ers’ unusual roster construction, making such a move one of the more predictable of the offseason.
The Sixers are trading Al Horford and a first-round and second-round pick to the Thunder for Danny Green, sources tell ESPN.

Green’s shooting will help the 76ers in the season to come considerably, making the team a more difficult prospect to guard for the Celtics and the rest of the league.
New general manager Daryl Morey’s first big move looks like a solid one, and OKC GM Sam Presti managed to leverage the awkward fit to add to a truly monstrous collection of picks for the Thunder while adding a quality player.
