Wofford transfer BJ Mack includes LSU in top 5

The Tigers are among the finalists for the First Team All-SoCon selection.

With five LSU players entering the transfer portal since the conclusion of the 2022-23 season, it’s not surprising that the Tigers have been among the more active teams when it comes to reaching out to portal prospects heading into coach Matt McMahon’s second season.

One of the first players LSU reached out to was [autotag]BJ Mack[/autotag], a forward transfer from Wofford, and that work has apparently paid off as the Tigers were included among Mack’s top five alongside South Carolina, Arkansas, Iowa and Alabama.

A 6-foot-8 player originally from Charlotte, Mack played in and started 32 games as a senior in 2022-23, averaging 16.6 points and 5.6 rebounds.

Mack was a First Team All-Southern Conference selection last season, and landing an experienced player of his caliber for the frontcourt would certainly help soften some of the losses in the portal.
