The Washington Wizards announced on Saturday that they had signed center Trey Jemison to a 10-day contract from the Birmingham Squadron in the G League.
Shams Charania of The Athletic first reported the news.
Jemison, who went undrafted last year out of UAB, played with the Phoenix Suns in summer league before signing an Exhibit 10 contract with the New Orleans Pelicans during the preseason. He was waived and sent to the Squadron.
The 6-foot-10 forward is averaging 10.9 points, 11.9 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.5 blocks on 55.6% shooting from the field in 25 games with the Squadron. He leads the G League in rebounding and is fifth in double-doubles (12).

Jemison emerged as one of the top frontcourt players in the G League this season with the Squadron. He generated plenty of buzz among teams at the G League Winter Showcase last month and was viewed as one of the top 10-day contract candidates.
He is eligible to be with the Wizards for up to 10 days or three games.
