With the Wizards fading, having lost six consecutive games, most sources expect the team will push for a significant frontcourt upgrade around Beal. Two of the most-rumored possibilities are Detroit forward Jerami Grant and Indiana big man Domantas Sabonis. But sources predict the Wizards will encounter significant difficulties acquiring a high-impact player of Sabonis’ stature without giving up at least 21-year-old Avdija or 23-year-old Hachimura — or, perhaps, both, along with multiple draft picks. Indiana has pulled back on putting Sabonis front and center in trade talks, engaging teams more on center Myles Turner and wing Caris LeVert.
