With Carson Wentz trade rumors swirling, Tarik Cohen responds on Twitter

Hmm.

Despite the fact that Super Bowl 55 is finally upon us, some of the buzz leading up to it had nothing to do with the game.

On Saturday, the Carson Wentz trade talk heated up, with ESPN’s Adam Schefter reporting that the Eagles will trade him and it “could happen as early as this week.”

There was a report from NBC Sports Philadelphia’s Natalie Egenolf that a deal between the Eagles and Chicago Bears (!) is close, and the “name I’m hearing is Tarik Cohen, a first rounder and yes world, Nick Foles.”

That would bring Foles — who won the Eagles a Super Bowl title not too long ago — back to the Eagles. As for Cohen? He decided to investigate with the Bears and shared what he found out on Twitter:

OK! That trade would be pretty amazing all around, for what it’s worth — the Eagles would get a terrific running back, a first-rounder (is Wentz really worth that?) and the QB who’s a hero in Philly. The Bears would hope to solve their quarterback woes with Wentz.

But we’re not there yet, even with Cohen “[clearing] this up.”
