Witcher 3: Wild Hunt voice actor Miłogost Reczek passes away at age 60

The Polish actor leaves behind quite a legacy.

Miłogost Reczek, best known for his role as Vesemir in  The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s  Polish dub, died on Tuesday.

As first spotted by  Game Developer, Polish audiobook company Storytel  announced Reczek’s passing on its Facebook after battling cancer for many years.

Reczek was a massive talent in Poland’s voiceover and acting industry. Some of his film credits include Polish dubbing work for Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019), The Hobbit films, and even the original Star Wars Trilogy where be played Obi-Wan Kenobi. That’s a career spanning over 40 years for those of you keeping track! Quite the legacy to leave behind.

However, to fans of video games, Reczek’s most iconic role was Vesemir in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. While William Roberts voiced the character in the English dub, Reczek was equally known for the role since so many played the game in Polish, even internationally.

Reczek also did voice work in Cyberpunk 2077, where he played Viktor Vector in the Polish dub. Clearly, the actor left quite an impression on developer CD Projekt Red brought him back for such an important character in their next title.
