Wisconsin’s top five remaining targets in class of 2021

With Wisconsin’s 2020 recruiting class finished for the most part, here’s a look at its top remaining targets in the next class.

Nolan Rucci – Offensive Tackle

Could the Badgers land a five-star offensive tackle for the second time in three recruiting cycles?

Considering their obvious “in” with Rucci, whose brother, Hayden, is a freshman tight end at Wisconsin, as well as their rich tradition on the offensive line, that’s certainly a good possibility. Recognizing Nolan’s potential very early, Wisconsin has been on the massive 6-8, 266-pound tackle since it began recruiting his brother, which has allowed the staff to form a strong relationship with the nation’s No. 18 overall player.

However, the competition is understandably fierce in this recruitment, as Rucci essentially has his pick of any school in the country. His offer list includes Michigan, Notre Dame, Penn State, Alabama, Clemson, LSU, Maryland, Miami, Michigan State, Nebraska, Northwestern, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pittsburgh, Stanford, Syracuse, Texas, Texas A&M, Virginia, Virginia Tech and West Virginia.

Penn State appears to be out in front for the Lilitz, Pa. native’s services at the moment, but Wisconsin has done enough to ensure it will be there until the end.
