Wisconsin vs. Marquette: Golden Eagles pull off upset with tip-in at the buzzer

Marquette takes down No. 4 Wisconsin with a tip-in at the buzzer.

The Marquette Golden Eagles pulled off a major upset over the No. 4 team in the country on Friday night thanks to a putback on a missed free throw as time expired.

With the game tied 65-65 with just 0.9 seconds left on the clock, Marquette’s D.J. Carton had a chance to win the game at the free throw line. He hit his first from the line to tie the game, but his second came up short. Justin Lewis – who led the Golden Eagles with 18 points off the bench – quickly tipped the ball, which bounced off the rim and went in to give Marquette a signature win.
