One of the best players in the history of college volleyball joined an elite club today. Wisconsin’s Dana Rettke, the 6-foot-8 middle blocker who led the Badgers to the national championship game in 2019 and has helped UW reach the 2021 Final Four, became just the 6th person in the history of the sport to be named a First Team All-American four times.
In every season Rettke has played as a Badger, she has been named to the first team. No other player in Wisconsin history has completed that cycle:
Standing ovation for our FIRST 4x First Team All-American in Wisconsin Volleyball history.
Only the 6th person in the history of volleyball to do it!
CONGRATULATIONS, @dana_rettke! pic.twitter.com/Zjp936pPQ5
