Wisconsin RB Braelon Allen mentions why he missed the Notre Dame game

Braleon Allen on why he missed the Notre Dame contest

After showing solid flashes against Michigan, specifically in situations where the Badgers needed to pick up a couple of yards, freshman RB Braelon Allen figures to be a part of the rotation going forward.

Allen ran for 19 yards on 5 carries against Michigan, and picked up a couple of key Badger first downs.

In today’s media availability, the former Fond du Lac star mentioned why he missed the Notre Dame contest. With little news surrounding an injury after he took the field in the Eastern Michigan game, Allen then missed the game against the Fighting Irish the following week.

Jeff Potrykus of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Tweeted that Allen said he suffered a concussion and was subsequently held out in Chicago.

All systems seem to be a go for Allen, who played on Saturday and is not listed on the preliminary status report for Week 6.
