On Tuesday, David Kenyon, a writer for Bleacher Report, released his ranking of the top backfields in college football going into the 2022 season and the Badgers made the cut.

Kenyon ranked Wisconsin as his No. 2 backfield for 2022 because of the outstanding play from the duo of true freshman running back Braelon Allen and transfer RB Chez Mellusi last season. The Badgers are ranked behind Central Michigan but still land ahead of Big Ten foes Ohio State(No. 6) and Minnesota(No. 7).
I am excited to see what a full offseason will do for the Badgers’ running backs because for most of last season, the Wisconsin backfield was dealing with injuries.
