Wisconsin football has been giving us a look at each new coach on the staff in weekly episodes of their mic’d up series called “(WI)red.”
This week, the Badgers had new cornerbacks coach Paul Haynes mic’d up at practice. Haynes comes to Wisconsin from nearby rival Minnesota, where he spent the past three seasons as the cornerbacks coach and spent 2022 as co-defensive coordinator.
Haynes has experience with new UW defensive coordinator Mike Tressel, as the two teamed up at Michigan State from 2018-19.
With Haynes as co-defensive coordinator at Minnesota in 2022, the Gophers ranked ninth overall in the country in total defense.
