Wisconsin lands a former four-star cornerback in the transfer portal

Wisconsin has seen five players enter the transfer portal since the start of the 2021 football season–running backs Jalen Berger, Antwan Roberts and Loyal Crawford, wide receiver Devin Chandler and offensive lineman Kayden Lyles.

That all after adding two players in the transfer portal last summer: running back Chez Mellusi and defensive end Isaac Townsend.

Earlier today the movement continued, as the program received a transfer portal commitment from former Michigan State cornerback Kalon Gervin.

Gervin was a four-star recruit in the class of 2018, ranked as the nation’s No. 188 recruit and No. 20 cornerback. Wisconsin had offered the cornerback before he chose to play at Michigan State.

Gervin appeared in 14 games at Michigan State over a three-year span–recording 44 tackles and 4 passes defended.

The former Spartan will now play his final two years of eligibility at Wisconsin.
