The Badgers have found their punter. Wisconsin landed a commitment from 2022 USC commit Atticus Bertrams. He hails from the capital of punting and kicking, a place also known as Australia.
Wisconsin’s 2022 starting punter Andy Vujnovich was a star in his role for the Badgers over three seasons. His decision to declare for the NFL draft left a whole at an understatedly important position.
Bertrams learned his craft at ProKick Australia, a kicking academy started by a pair of former NFL kickers. He will likely immediately become the starting punter for a Wisconsin team that didn’t have a clear path at the position.
