On Sunday, after wrapping up an official visit to Madison, Paul Chryst and his coaching staff received a verbal commitment from newly offered 2023 three-star wide receiver Trech Kekahuna out of Honolulu, Hawaii.
Per 247Sports, Kekahuna is the No. 167 ATH in the country, and the No. 13 player in the state of Hawaii. The 5-foot-11, 190-pound WR chose UW over offers from Boise State, Hawaii, Nevada, Incarnate Word, and Montana State.
As a junior, the speedy WR caught 62 passes for 761 yards and three touchdowns for St. Louis, which is the same high school that current Badgers Nick Herbig and Kamo’i Latu attended.
Kekahuna is now the tenth player to commit in the 2023 recruiting class and the fourth player in the last week.
