Wisconsin meets the LSU Tigers in the TransPerfect Music City Bowl in ESPN’s latest bowl projections after Week 9.
The Badgers are 5-3 through eight games — just one win away from bowl eligibility. They have four remaining games to reach that six-win mark, though the team is currently trending negatively after a 28-13 loss to Penn State in Week 9.

LSU, meanwhile, is 6-2 on the season after a 38-23 loss to Texas A&M in Week 9. The Tigers remain ranked No. 16 in the AP Poll despite the recent defeat.
Wisconsin and LSU met in the ReliaQuest Bowl to close the 2023 season. LSU won 35-31 thanks to a 395-yard, 3-touchdown day from QB Garrett Nussmeier. This projection sees a rematch of that matchup — a result which broke Wisconsin’s three-game win streak in bowl games. The Badgers are now 8-2 in those contests dating back to 2014.
Luke Fickell’s team returns to the field this Saturday on the road at Iowa. The game has significant stakes in the battle for position in the Big Ten. It also will see the winner clinch bowl eligibility, with each currently sitting at 5-3 on the season.
