Wisconsin basketball made the final six schools for top 2025 small forward Amari Allen on Monday.
The Badgers were listed along with Minnesota, Alabama, Nevada, Mississippi State and UCF.

Allen is one of the program’s highest-rated targets in the class and will represent one of its most important recruiting battles of the fall. He is currently ranked as 247Sports’ No. 98 player in the class of 2025, No. 18 small forward and No. 14 recruit from the state of Florida.
The Badgers should hold a strong position in Allen’s recruitment given his roots in the state of Wisconsin. He grew up in Kaukauna, Wisconsin and began his high school basketball career at Kaukauna High School. His transfer to IMG Academy in Florida certainly lessens Wisconsin’s pull as an in-state power, but those ties should still give the Badgers a real chance at landing a commitment.
Allen will be on campus in Madison, Wisconsin during Greg Gard’s most important visit weekend of the fall — Sept. 14 when the Wisconsin football team faces top-ranked Alabama. He, four-star guard Davion Hannah and four-star center Tommy Ahneman will all be on campus to visit that weekend.
The four-star small forward will take visits to each of his six finalists this fall. He listed those official visit dates in a post on X after announcing his final schools:
Official visit dates
August 28-30 Minnesota
August 30- sep 1 Alabama
September 1-3 Nevada
September 6-8 Mississippi state
September 13-15 Wisconsin
September 27-29 UCF— Amari allen (@2amariii) July 29, 2024
Wisconsin’s class of 2025 currently ranks No. 6 in the nation with commitments from two in-state standouts: four-star SG Zach Kinziger and three-star C Will Garlock. A potential addition of Allen would make the recruiting class one of the best of the Gard era at Wisconsin.
