Rankings courtesy of the Ferris Mowers Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports.
Wisconsin has defeated Purdue and Iowa this month, has won four in a row and 10 of its last 11. The Badgers take good care of the basketball (just 6.7 turnover per game in their last six games) and have recently shot the ball and rebounded at improved levels. On Thursday against Iowa, UW shot 50.0% from the field and was a plus-18 on the boards.
The Terrapins are coming off back-to-back conference losses on the road and are just 3-5 in eight games since Nov. 27. Maryland’s problem areas have been rebounding (allowed 9-plus offensive rebounds in 6-of-last-8 games) and not creating enough havoc on defense (9.3 takeaways per game last seven contests).

Wisconsin at Maryland odds, lines, picks and predictions
Prediction
Wisconsin 70, Maryland 66
Money line
Sophomore G Johnny Davis is a difference-maker talent putting up tremendous numbers of late. Over his last six games, Davis has averaged 25.8 points and 9.2 rebounds per contest. Maryland is solid on defense, but he can score from all over the floor and impact the game in many ways — enough so to sway the value meter slightly into the Badger camp.
TAKE WISCONSIN (-125) on a slight lean.
Against the spread
Badgers bettors have thus far gone 9-5 against the number. And Wisconsin is 6-1 ATS in its last seven games following an ATS win. The Terrapins are 1-6 ATS in their last seven home games against teams with a winning road records. In this series, the favorite is 3-1-1 ATS across the last five meetings.
UW’s wins this week over Purdue and Iowa were impressive all-around performances with no outlier stats giving away the game. The probability of a 3-to-5-point win here is enough to warrant action on the BADGERS -1.5 (-108).
Over/Under
Both teams play a slow pace, but this figure reflects that and doesn’t offer room for profit. PASS.
