‘Winning attitude’ Jimmy Brumbaugh is out for Vols, a look at his UT contract.

KNOXVILLE — Tennessee defensive line coach Jimmy Brumbaugh is out after four games into the 2020 season, according to a report from VolQuest.com.

The University of Tennessee has not confirmed the staff move.

Brumbaugh was hired by Tennessee in February. He first became a position coach in 2005 at Chattanooga under then-Mocs head coach Rodney Allison. Allison was an assistant at Auburn when Brumbaugh was playing for the Tigers.

“I loved his mentality and eagerness,” Allison told Vols Wire of Brumbaugh in February. “The thing I remember the most about Jimmy is his eagerness to work – his work ethic and mentality.

“He just had a winning attitude. He worked his butt off to be as good as he could be. I really respect him as a person.”
