We knew coming into Sunday that whichever teams that win or lose could be looking at either the top spot or the bottom spot in the division. What we didn’t know is that the top spot would come down to whomever wins Sunday night.
The Chargers and Broncos both lost Sunday afternoon, dropping them to 5-4 and 5-5 respectively. The Chargers loss to the Vikings in particular leaves the top spot in the division up for grabs.
No matter who wins tonight between the Raiders and Chiefs, that team will take the top spot in the division. Making a big AFC West showdown even bigger. The Raiders would improve to 6-3 with a win, while a Chiefs win would put them at 6-4.
The loser of tonight’s game will fall to third in the division, behind the Chargers, but ahead of the Broncos.
Raiders vs Chiefs kicks off at 5:20pm Pacific (8:20 ET) on NBC.
