The 2024 Daytona 500 finally took the green flag on Monday evening, resulting in a first-time winner for the Great American Race. Hendrick Motorsports driver [autotag]William Byron[/autotag] barely won the 2024 Daytona 500 over teammate Alex Bowman after a caution flag stopped the field. Byron was barely in front of Bowman and was deemed the winner of the event.

However, the two drivers werne’t only involved in the ending. Earlier, Bowman gave Byron a lousy push and caused a big wreck as Brad Keselowski shot across the track. It took out several key drivers, including Keselowski and Joey Logano. The two drivers then dueled it out as they took the white flag. Ross Chastain tried to shoot the gap with two laps to go, and he, plus Austin Cindric, went spinning.

Byron broke out for the most wins during the 2024 NASCAR season and starts on the right note. The No. 24 car returns to victory lane in the Great American Race and looks to have another good superspeedway race at Atlanta Motor Speedway next week.
