Will Zalatoris and long-time caddie Ryan Goble have parted ways

In 21 starts this season, Zalatoris has eight top 10s, including three runner-up finishes.

Will Zalatoris and Ryan Goble have worked together for several years, putting together an incredible resume on the PGA Tour (everything except a win).

However, after Friday’s second round of the Wyndham Championship at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, North Carolina, the pair split.

Zalatoris made two eagles down the closing stretch to make the cut after his chances looked dim, standing on the 13th tee box 2 over for the tournament. Thanks to a 137-yard hole out and a 61-foot putt, the 25-year-old earned himself weekend tee times.

According to our partner, The Caddie Network, Zalatoris will use a stand-in for the weekend.

After the round, Zalatoris said Joel Stock will be his caddie for the FedEx Cup playoffs. Stock has caddied for Ben Crane previously.

In 21 starts this season, Zalatoris has eight top-10 finishes, including three runner-ups (Farmers Insurance Open, PGA Championship and U.S. Open). He has earned more than $6.6 million on the course during his 2021-22 campaign.
