Will Penn State dominate the state this week?

This could be another great week on the recruiting trail for Penn State. Three more four-star players on the way?

Penn State could have a lot to look forward to this week with three recruits expected to commit to Penn State this week. As the week gets started, Penn State is the favorite to land commitments from three four-star targets in the Class of 2023, including two from within Pennsylvania.

The first could come today as running back [autotag]London Montgomery[/autotag] is set to announce his college decision Monday afternoon or early evening. The Scranton Prep running back has Penn State in his top three along with Boston College and Virginia Tech. Each of the crystal ball predictions cast on 247Sports is favoring Penn State for the commitment, which would land the state’s top running back for a second year in a row after getting Nick Singleton in the Class of 2022.

After the announcement from Montgomery, the focus will shift back to the defense with four-star linebacker Tony Rojas scheduled to announce his college decision on Thursday afternoon. The Fairfax, Virginia recruit has been considered a Penn State favorite for a few weeks now, but Clemson, Georgia, and Miami all received official visits in June from Rojas, as did Penn State.

Rounding out the week will be four-star edge [autotag]Ta’Mere Robinson[/autotag], from Pittsburgh. Robinson’s announcement is scheduled for Friday, which could help send Penn State into the weekend on a recruiting high. Robinson is widely considered likely to commit to Penn State, but Miami and Virginia Tech are also in the final mix.

Penn State is favored by the crystal balls and the On3 prediction machine for all three of these recruits, but those are all merely educated guesses. The only person who knows for sure where he is going is the player, and that will not be made official until they have the opportunity to share their decision with the public.

Penn State’s Class of 2023 has already established itself among the best of the best in the nation. The addition of three more four-star players this week would help to continue to solidify its status as one of the best recruiting classes in the country. Penn State has never had back-to-back top 10 recruiting classes in the era of recruiting rankings, but the Nittany Lions are well on their way to accomplishing that feat this year. These three players would help make that goal that much more attainable.
