The UCLA Bruins men’s basketball roster looks loaded for the upcoming 2024-2025 season. After a series of transfer portal additions, they are widely regarded as the favorites in the way-too-early Big Ten outlook.
One departure from the program was Will McClendon, and he has now found a new home with the San Jose State Spartans, per Jon Rothstein.
McClendon played in 33 games for the Bruins this past season, averaging 4.1 PPG with 3.3 rebounds and 1/1 assists/ He played the past two seasons at UCLA before entering the portal.
With Mick Cronin adding players such as Skyy Clark and Eric Dailey Jr., playing time for McClendon looked scarce, hence the transfer decision and his ending up at San Jose State.
UCLA transfer Will McClendon has signed with San Jose State, per release.

McClendon should be able to see a large uptick in usage with the Spartans, who finished 9-22 overall and 2-16 in Mountain West Conference play, tied for the worst record in the league with Air Force.
