Currently, the Steelers have a dozen priority free agents in 2021, including cornerbacks Joe Haden and Mike Hilton, linebacker Bud Dupree, and defensive tackle Cam Heyward.

A lot of juggling will need to happen to keep their best players under contract, but general manager Kevin Colbert can do it. The increase in the salary cap, per the CBA, will definitely help.

If Smith-Schuster balls it out this season, don’t be surprised if he asks for top receiver money — Amari Cooper/Michael Thomas-like numbers — in the range of $95-$100 million over five years.
