Will Florida make the NCAA Tournament? Here are Tipico’s odds

What are the odds the Gators make the tourney? Here’s your answer.

Florida basketball’s postseason hopes currently sit on the bubble as the Gators have put up a supremely mediocre performance this season. Suffering from a dearth of Quadrant 1 wins as well as the ugly mark of the Quadrant 4 loss at home to the Texas Southern Tigers, the Orange and Blue have a lot of work to do if it wants to make the NCAA Tournament.

Various members of the sports media have Florida on different parts of the bubble — or in some cases, completely out of the discussion — but what they all have in common is that none believe the Gators have a shoo-in case for an invitation to the Big Dance. With a tough game against the Kentucky Wildcats on Saturday and a grueling SEC Tournament up ahead, it is quite an uphill battle to make it to March Madness.

The Tipico Sportsbook appears to think that it is less likely that the Gators make the tournament, setting its betting lines at plus-300 for making the Big Dance while missing out is set at minus-400 as of 9:30 a.m. EST on Friday morning.
