Now, just a few days after the announcement, it came to light that Moses made the decision unadvised and prematurely.

In a statement released by Moses’ father, there are issues regarding the Alabama linebacker’s “‘loss of value draft protection,” which would help keep him financially secure in case of a potential slip in the 2020 NFL Draft.
As the statement says, “under the provisions of the trust, his majesty is not allowed to make unilateral decisions,” this means that while Moses is the player, he is not allowed to make the decision alone.
The document is concluded by stating that his initial decision to stay for his final season will stand, but it is still up in the air until Jan. 20, which is when he is obligated to make a final decision as an underclassmen.
