After four years of failure, the longest playoff drought in franchise history, the San Antonio Spurs were rewarded with the first pick in the 2023 NBA Draft. With the selection, they were able to pick up 19-year-old French superstar Victor Wembanyama, who is projected to be the face of the organization for years to come.
However, as is the case with all prospects, while some people believe he will change the game, others think he’s overhyped.
