When the Tennessee Titans released their list of inactives an hour and a half before kickoff of the Week 15 game against the Los Angeles Chargers, defensive lineman Teair Tart was a surprise scratch.

Tart, who has played very well this season and has been a big part of the Titans’ impressive front, did not have a designation going into the game, which made his inactive status shocking to say the least.

However, now we have clarity as to what happened. Per the CBS broadcast during Titans-Chargers, Tart found flew back from Los Angles to Nashville for the birth of his child.

A 2020 undrafted free agent signing of the Titans, Tart has developed into a good starter over three seasons. He has 21 tackles, one interception and five passes defensed in 13 games this season.

He was also one of what seems like few Titans to play in every game, but his run is now over.
