Payton Pritchard, the pride of the Oregon Ducks in the NBA, is making a strong case to be a crucial player for the Boston Celtics in the season ahead. The West Linn native has impressed fans and analysts alike during the team’s 2023 preseason slate of games after signing a team-friendly contract earlier in the offseason.
Pritchard actually fell out of the ball club’s rotation last season in head coach Joe Mazzulla’s first year at the helm of the team, with 2023 Sixth Man of the Year Malcolm Brogdon eating up all of his minutes in 2022-23. But now Brogdon is gone and Pritchard is tasked with a bigger role for Boston in their campaign ahead.
This has Volume’s Chris Mannix claiming that Pritchard is the most undervalued player in the league in a recent conversation with NBC Sports Boston’s Chris Forsberg on a recent episode of the “3 Points” podcast.
