It seemed Brooklyn’s bench was more part of the resolution than the problem in Monday’s loss to the Orlando Magic. Although some of the Nets reserves weren’t as efficient with they’re shooting as one might hope, most found other ways to help.
This included Dzanan Musa, who scored four of his six points at the foul line (4-for-4), but only went 1-for-4 from the floor.
Musa provides the Nets with another ball-handler in a time where Kyrie Irving (right shoulder impingement) is out and Caris LeVert is back, but still not playing every night to ensure his thumb is OK.
This might lead Kenny Atkinson to turn to the 20-year-old a bit more:
I though Musa gave us a real burst of energy. Having his ball-handling out there, I think we need that. We’ll probably have to look at that some more. Just [to] help our other guys with the ball-handling duties. Because he can play pick-and-roll. He can make a pass. I thought he was a real positive.
