Why does the Diamondbacks’ stadium have a pool and what’s the price of tickets?

How much do Diamondbacks pool tickets cost, anyway?

To answer your question: Yes, that’s a pool you see beyond the outfield wall at Chase Field.

And the other answer to your question: Yes, you can get tickets to watch the World Series from the pool (but it’s going to cost you).

Let’s talk history before we talk pricing. Per the Arizona Republic, in the mid-1990s, “Jerry Colangelo, the chief executive of the team; Rich Dozer, the team president; and Scott Brubaker, the vice president for marketing, were looking at the model in the team’s temporary headquarters, a downtown high-rise.”

It was then that they joked about the shower in old Comiskey Park and that they’d install one in centerfield at the new Diamondbacks’ park. Someone then said the stadium should have a pool … and that became a reality!

Now, on to the pricing part. The Republic reports the price starts at $4,750 and can be as high as $7,000 for 35 people, “with access to the pool, hot tub and private patio, five parking passes, a basic complimentary food and beverage package (no alcohol) and a few additional amenities.”

But for a World Series game? No word on that, but I’m speculating it’s probably pricier.
