For the second consecutive season, there will be no NBA games scheduled for Election Day as the league encourages fans and the community to vote on Nov. 7 in the United States.
The NBA has shared important resources from voting organizations and highlighted the civic engagement work of teams in their markets ahead of Election Day. Voters will decide gubernatorial and state legislative elections, mayoral races and other local offices.
Players around the NBA have worn specialized warmup shirts promoting the importance of voting. The league, players and teams have also shared various voting resources on their social media channels leading up to Tuesday.
“It’s our civic duty to be a part of it. We can’t be complaining that things aren’t working for us if we don’t participate in the process.”
